The Process

From first conversation to final delivery, every step is intentional.

01

Design & Consultation

Every commission begins with understanding — your space, how you live in it, what you need from the piece. We discuss materials, proportions, and function. Sketches and technical drawings follow, refined until the design feels inevitable.

02

Wood Selection

The right timber makes the piece. We source hardwoods from responsible suppliers — American black walnut, white oak, cherry, maple. Each board is selected for grain character, color consistency, and structural integrity. Boards are matched and oriented to bring out the wood's natural beauty.

Joinery & Construction

Traditional Danish joinery techniques form the skeleton of every piece. Mortise and tenon, dovetails, finger joints — each chosen for the specific structural demands of the design. No shortcuts, no hidden fasteners where proper joinery belongs. The construction should be as honest as the material.

Finishing

The finish protects the wood while revealing its character. Hand-sanded through progressive grits, then treated with hand-applied oil finishes that penetrate the grain — typically Danish oil or a hardwax oil blend. Multiple coats, hand-rubbed between applications. The surface should invite touch.

Delivery & Installation

White-glove delivery to your space. The piece is carefully transported, positioned, and leveled. Final adjustments are made on site — a drawer fit checked, a surface given one last inspection. The piece is ready to begin its life in your home.
